There was always something so nice about him, something clever and distinguished from other boys, even in his comedy make-up. I used to wish I knew him…..and just imagine that he should have chosen me for his leading lady, and now I’m his wife! Oh, I don’t remember when Harold first proposed. He did it two or three times. But I think the first time was some moonlight night at the beach. I was afraid it was just the moon that was the matter with him, so I didn’t say yes, that time.
